Welcome Wendy Cebula (edX blog)

Welcome Wendy Cebula

By Anant Agarwal

In the two years since edX launched, we have partnered with the world’s leading universities and institutions to deliver free, high-quality courses to over two million learners around the globe. Through the contributions and support of our wonderful partners and faculty, we have expanded access to education, improving on-campus learning and advancing teaching through research. Our open source platform, Open edX, allows countries, nonprofits and businesses to harness the power of online learning to transform education.

To help edX continue our mission of improving education around the world, I am very pleased to welcome Wendy Cebula as our president and chief operating officer. Wendy comes to us from Vistaprint, where she spent 13 years growing the company from $1 million to over $1 billion in revenue globally. She will help to build out and scale our operations and focus on day-to-day management. This will allow me to dedicate more time to edX’s strategic direction, growth and partnerships.

Wendy will be a great asset to edX. She has a proven track record for enabling global growth and driving operational excellence, and she is experienced in running large online businesses. Her strong digital and business expertise will take edX to the next level and continue to drive access and awareness of our partners’ diverse courses, while fostering the blended learning model on campus.

I look forward to working with Wendy to build the future of learning. Welcome to the edX team. Read the original story.
